Job Summary

  • To assist, strategize, control and functionally carrying out all aspects of management contract matters and other functions to achieve the department and organization target.
  • Responsible to perform task and assist superior(s) for various key roles that reflect the function of the Performance Monitoring Unit (PMU).
  • Ensuring effective and efficient function of the department’s operation through continuous monitoring of work progress, staff performance and budget control inclusive undertaking of other relevant duties.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To assist in coordination and preparation of reports for fortnightly submission to the Head of Department and Management.
  • To assist is monitoring of budget utilization against the approved budget and the work progress.
  • Secretariat for the Project Planning Committee (PPC). To coordinate, organize meetings, and documentation of minutes of meeting.
  • Secretariat for the Standard Technical Drawings & Guideline Committee (STDGC). To coordinate and organize meetings, followed by obtaining approval of drawings/guideline/new products by the committee.
  • To ensure complete document preparations and compliance to the Standard Operating Procedure specified in obtaining approval from relevant committee.
  • To ensure completeness of project database and update of provided data in department Operations Business Intelligence (OBI).
  • To maintain records and act as document controller for establishment of documented information at department level.
  • Liaison with Risk Management Department and relevant sections for monitoring and completion of department Enterprise Risk Management.
  • To assist in gathering information and data required that reflect the function of the department, when necessary, through internal/external coordination.
  • To assist the HOD in monitoring the progress of projects via project monthly progress meeting.
  • To perform other relevant duties assigned that reflects unit function.

  • Aware and understand the asset criticality in the operational activities and ensure all assets are maintained in good working conditions.
  • Aware and understand the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of information assets under your custodian.
  • Aware and understand the whistle-blower policy and carry out daily job activity with full integrity

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Two year(s) of working experience in related engineering field, ideally in water industry.
  • Well versed in the administration of contract process
  • Knowledge of construction industries especially in water works.
  • Advance MS Office, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint with compliance to the applicable standards.
  • Computer literate especially in Microsoft Office.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate good written and spoken in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Knowledge in water industry and understanding towards company operations.
  • Gathering and correlating data/information and undertaking basic analysis relevant to project management.
  • Demonstrate expertise with financial analysis and strong spreadsheet capabilitis.
  • Capable of identifying issues and corrective measures for the attention of senior staff.
