Kuala Lumpur is the host to KPMG’s ASPAC Compliance Delivery Centre (‘’ACDC’’), which offers Indirect tax compliance services in ASPAC. Responsibilities:
■ Main responsibility will be to support the knowledge transfer and on-boarding process of the new
clients with the following tasks:
■ Analyze clients’ previously done VAT/GST returns and working files retrieved from their ERP systems
■ Identifying and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets
■ Check and determine data quality and necessary adjustments
■ Execute any cases defined by tax/accounting subject matter expert
■ Compare clients’ data against known business model
■ Determine rules in order to improve clients’ data to enable automation of the provision of tax
compliance services at ASPAC Compliance DC’s side
■ Work closely with the Technology team to validate clients’ data fields translated into the data fields
of the applications used by KGSH network
■ Engagement to validate the „as is” and „to be” tax accounting and tax reporting processes
■ Document and present to clients any tax/accounting technical issues that may have been identified
in consultation with the tax/accounting subject matter expert
■ Support Delivery teams after go-live
■ Work on various projects at the same time
■ May be required to prepare / review VAT returns
Requirements :
■ BSc or MSc graduate in Economics, Accounting, Finance
■ 2+ years of experience in the financial field (GL/AP/AR/Treasury/O2C/Tax
Compliance/Controlling/etc.)
■ Professional Services, Shared Services, or Commercial experience
■ Fluent English language skills (other languages would be an asset)
■ Proven advanced Excel knowledge (Pivot table is a must)
■ Fluent English language skills
■ Great analytical skills, ability to collect, understand, organise, analyse complex processes and
disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
■ Adept at queries and presenting findings
■ Ability and willingness to learn the end-to-end indirect tax automation process
■ Experience in VAT/GST return preparation/review is an advantage
