Description:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate HR Business Partner to play a critical role in the execution of HR processes for our KPMG Delivery Network (KDN) Delivery Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will be responsible for ensuring that global and local HR policies, processes and practices are aligned with leading practice and effectively implemented across the organization to meet business optimization goals.
Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Partnering:
- Work closely with KDN business leaders, and the KDN and KPMG in Malaysia HR teams to align HR strategies with business objectives
- Provide expert HR guidance and support to local business leaders
- Ensure full compliance with HR policies and practices while adapting them to the specifics of KDN activities and the Malaysia labor market
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent
- Manage the onboarding process to ensure a smooth and positive experience for new hires
- Optimize talent acquisition and onboarding processes to support scaled delivery
HR Operations:
- Ensure the delivery of all aspects of the day-to-day HR service for KDN in Malaysia with the support of the KDN and KPMG in Malaysia HR teams
- Effectively manage the performance management lifecycle
- Provide support to employees in HR-related topics such as leaves, benefits and other employee needs
- Resolve work-related issues promptly to maintain a high level of employee satisfaction and motivation
- Initiate and promote HR programs to create an efficient and well-balanced workplace
Compensation and Benefits:
- Support payroll with needed benefits related administration
- Monitor shared services market and propose competitive compensation and benefits solutions, reward and recognition elements as needed
Policy Development and Compliance:
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies
- Ensure the company's compliance with labor law and regulations
- Take ownership of special HR projects
Culture and Wellbeing:
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee wellbeing
- Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Ensure the Global People Survey is rolled out and encourage local leadership to take action to increase or maintain high levels of employee engagement
Reporting:
- Assist in ensuring details of employees are well recorded and properly processed as per KPMG's people reporting policies
- Ensure that local business leaders are supported with needed HR information on a timely manner
- Support Finance with people budgeting providing HR specific inputs if needed, such as headcount plans, reward and recognition, etc.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition and generalist HR support
- Experience working in a matrix structure in a global professional services environment would be ideal
- Knowledge and experience in the local shared services labor market is preferred
- Strong understanding of HR and recruitment principles, practices, and employment laws across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience in utilizing HRIS and recruitment software for data management and analytics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to implement innovative sourcing strategies and build a robust talent pipeline
- Proven ability to attract and retain top talent
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships
- Strong analytical skills and precision, including the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and construct solutions
- Solution-based thinker with the ability to work independently on new challenges and opportunities
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and optimizing HR processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
