The Actuarial Services department at KPMG offers essential expertise in actuarial and insurance-related matters. Our team provides crucial support for insurance company audits and makes significant contributions to a wide range of advisory engagements. These include complex projects such as IFRS17 implementation, where our actuarial knowledge plays a key role in helping clients navigate regulatory changes and optimize their financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in audit support work for insurance companies
  • Support advisory engagements, including IFRS17 implementation projects
  • Perform data analysis and financial modeling under the guidance of senior team members
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations for clients
  • Participate in team discussions and brainstorming sessions
  • Assist in research and analysis of industry trends and regulatory changes
  • Support the development of actuarial models and methodologies
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with actuarial principles and practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Actuarial Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related disciplines
  • Strong academic record with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with statistical software packages
  • Excellent writen and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Atention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Determination to pursue actuarial qualifications

Desirable Characteristics

  • Demonstrated interest in the insurance and financial services industries
  • Previous internship experience in actuarial or related fields
