Description:

Using a wide variety of technical and sector-specific skills, KPMG Risk Consulting proactively helps clients in managing reputational, operational, financial and other risks. We are experienced in managing diverse issues including fraud, regulatory compliance, risk frameworks and modelling, capital efficiency, corporate governance, dispute resolution, deriving value from contracts and much more.


The Data Privacy team works with clients in managing risks on protection of personal data, compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks and to assist businesses in creating an environment that gives confidence and creates trust in customers and stakeholders at large in the conduct of day-to-day business operations.


Skills Required/Expectations:

Industry Experience:

  • Good knowledge of data privacy and protection laws and regulations
  • Knowledge and experience in providing Privacy advice and undertaking Privacy advisory work including compliance and gap assessment, privacy impact assessment, personal data inventories and data flow mapping.
  • Some understanding of the high level technology issues surrounding information security in the processing of personal/client confidential data


General

  • Minimum 1-3 years of industry/consulting experience
  • Proven ability to lead work at sustained levels of high intensity and inspire drive and resilience in others
  • Demonstrable breadth of skills/experience and market awareness. Able to assimilate new knowledge
  • Proven ability to analyse problems, identify core issues and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge
  • Able to work independently as well as a team member
  • Good communication skills (both oral and written), project management and interactional skills at various levels


Responsibilities:

Project related

  • As a key member of the engagement team, to be actively involved in the execution of work with client
  • Assist the Manager in managing risks associated with the projects
  • Conduct key stakeholder workshops, privacy impact assessments, development/review of privacy framework, assessment of privacy risks, privacy compliance assessment, application assessment
  • Assist in developing various awareness communications, training and workshop materials
  • Assist in research, and thought leaderships on data privacy and data protection
  • Other ad hoc privacy related projects, as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Degree in IT/Technology related fields, Law or other equivalent fields
