What you will do: 

• Manage and maintain our production system on AWS, ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including the software development and data engineering teams to determine their requirements in provisioning, deploying, configuring, automating, managing, and maintaining our AWS cloud-based production system & determine system requirements
• Responsible for technical maintenance of security devices and technologies that constitute Pulsifi’s ICT networks and resources and the Information Security Management System
• Provide recommendations for architecture and process improvements.
• Implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the AWS platform. 
• Automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation on AWS. 
• Documenting processes and logs for security audits with a view to achieving security compliance and certification.
• Work closely with developers to implement continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS.
• Management of creation, release, and configuration of production systems. 
• Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS. 
• Pre-production acceptance testing for quality assurance.
• Work in accordance with applicable policies, processes, and procedures constituting Pulsifi’s Information Security Management System (ISMS). This includes but is not limited to the organization’s Information Security Policy, Data Protection Policy, Clean Desk & Screen Policy & Password Management Policy. 

You meet all or most of these requirements: 

• 2+ years of experience managing CI/CD tooling, deployment pipelines, and strategies.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems administration. 
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows.
• Basic knowledge of bash scripting in Linux environments, Docker setup and containerization, and database management for PostgreSQL is an advantage.
• Knowledge in Terraform, to provision new resources or manage existing resources.
• Certified in at least one is an added bonus: AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional, AWS Certified Developer - Associate
• Experience with multi-tier architectures: load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, microservices architecture, databases, and networking. 
• Familiarity with interacting with AWS APIs and SDKs. 
• Experience managing and familiarity with technical infrastructure aspects within information security standards such as ISO 27001 is a bonus.
• Experience in automation and testing via scripting & programming.
• Self-starter excited to relentlessly solve many technical challenges. 
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to manage your time and work well independently and as part of a team. 
• A BSc in Computer Science, engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Moderate proficiency in programming languages such as Typescript/Javascript/Python
